“Action-Learning for Educating the Next Generation of Agrifood Professionals:

The NextFOOD Project at its Midterm”

The NextFOOD project (H2020 RIA No. 771738) is working to educate the next generation of professionals in the agrifood system using innovative and action-based learning. A paradigm shift from linear to cyclical learning will be the basis of an innovative European science and education roadmap for sustainable agriculture.

This ½ day seminar will present case studies that are the core of NextFOOD. Each case is using an iterative approach in which 4 cycles contribute to the exploration of theory and methods for fostering core competences in sustainable agrifood and forestry. Using the NextFOOD participatory model, cases will present their midterm results and the challenges they face in reaching their desired state. Participants will join the search for solutions for the ongoing cases and be invited to integrate the NextFOOD approach into their own courses.

 This seminar would be interesting for teachers, instructors, moderators, education administrators at all levels and in all subject matter.

The seminar begins at 12 with a networking lunch and ends at 5.30 pm. There is no charge for attending but pre-registration is required and attendance is limited. Registrants will be accepted on a first come-first served basis so, please, register HERE today!
